Australian Government Research Training Scholarship at Flinders University

International applicants who are going to study their higher degree(Master/PhD) by research at Flinders University can apply to Australian Government research training Program (AGRTP) Scholarships.

This scholarship is sponsored by commonwealth offered for international students who are interested in pursuing their higher degree by research in Australia. This is a very competitive scholarship that selects the candidates on basis of academic research training and research indicators and performance.

 

Fields of study:

Research Master master degree

Research Doctoral degree

Duration: three years of Ph.D. and two Years for Master with full-time study 


Value:

·         Applicants will be able to commence a full time higher degree by research

·         Tuition fee

·         Living cost at the rate of $27,596 indexed annually

·         Health insurance

Commonwealth will sponsor the visa

Requirements for Ph.D. degree:

·         Meet the academic entry requirements of degree

·         Applicants must have completed a four year degree with research project in the final year

·         Research component with a thesis of a minimum of 10000 words and 75% of distinction or any other publication or research

·         Have a good academic background, psychology, and social work

·         A CV with the summarize of any recent thesis which is done by applicants

·         Research plan (make clear how the Ph.D. research meet your qualification and experience and If applicants want to do a part-time study or research they must provide the financial support)

·         Personal statement 2-3 pages, PDF format

·         Applicants must have 5 years of work experience

·         Provide the proof of any commitment of innovation which is done by applicants

·         Provide a brief description of how you meet the criterion and mention how the doctoral degree can affect the applicant’s future leadership position

·         Two Reference letter one from the recent academic professor the second letter can be from applicant’s academic place (the letters must be with letterhead)

 

 

Required documents for the doctor of Public health:

·         Degrees certificate and transcript

·         Contact details of two people who are willing to provide confidential referee reports if requested.

·         Additional documents for the future:

Ø  Provide the summary of the requirement you meet (2 pages)

·         Write a statement to rational for seeking to undertake the DrPH program (1 page)

·         Provide a statement of your interest area for the research of DrPH (2-3 pages in PDF format)

·         Complete an interview with the course coordinator

·         CV

·         Two support letter from professionals in leadership, capacity contribute position

·         Academic result

·         Career achievements

·         References for responsibilities and promotions

General Requirments:

·         Applicants must have completed a required degree for each level

·         Applicants must not have performed any equivalent degree or research

·         Applicants must not have the New Zealand or Australian citizenship

·         Applicants must have good English proficiency, see the requirements here

Meet the entry requirement of the program 

Following documents are required:

·         Supervisor agreement letter (find a supervisor here)

·         Applicant’s publication proof: Send up to five publications having coversheet,  to Flinders University supervisor. remember, not to send more than five publications. additional publications should be mentioned in applicant’s CV, and submit only English publications. Other language publications will be accepted which are published as government agency reports.

·         Degree certificate and transcript must be in the English language

·         Research proposal 500 words (mention the problem, solutions, hypothesis or question and research methodology).

·         Two academic Reference forms sent to rhdscholarships@flinders.edu.au by August 9, 2019.

·         CV

Note: all documents must be in English with the PDF format and named them with your name and your family name

Application Instructions:

Before applying for the program, applicant must find a research supervisor and follow the steps below:

·         Register here, and

·         After completion of the application and receiving Flinders Authentication Name (FAN) submit the application for admission here, by selecting your desired degree in application tab

·         After submitting the application for admission, submit an application for scholarship by creating new scholarship application in “MY Scholarship tab”
