Scholarships for Afghan Women in Kazakhstan

The European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) award educational grants for Afghan women to study in Kazakhstan!

Study process will be held along the following programs: Bachelor (4 years), Master (1 year), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET, 1 year) in Statistics, Mining and Agriculture.

The grant covers the cost of tuition fee, housing, travel, and a monthly stipend.

At the very beginning, all scholarship holders will take a one-year English language course (October 2019 – May 2020).

The main selection criteria are the knowledge of English (not lower than Elementary level), as well as successful completion of interviews with members of the commission.

Stages of competitive selection:

· Paper based English placement test (location — the city of Kabul, the date will be announced soon);

· Paper based Psychological testing (location — the city of Kabul, the date will be announced soon);

· Interview with members of the competition committee (location — the city of Kabul, the date will be announced soon).

Llist of required documents:

— The notarized written consent of applicant’s parents to participate in competition and study in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

— Application form (all fields are mandatory to fulfill);

— The motivation letter in English (no more than 500 words, including brief information about applicant, justification of the choice of specialty and/or training program, professional plans for future);

— The certificate of secondary education (bachelor’s degree diploma, in case applicant has one);

— Certificate of language proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.), (if applicable);

— Passport;

— Awards and certificates received for academic achievements (if any).
