Post-doctoral fellowship and visiting researcher award for Ukraine and other war-affected countries 2022

Brief Description:

The mission of FAPESP, a publicly supported foundation in Brazil’s state of So Paulo, is to support research projects in higher education and research institutions across all fields of knowledge. With a 40 million-person population, So Paulo contributes 32% of Brazil’s GDP. According to the state constitution, the foundation is entitled to 1% of all state taxes, which the government distributes on a monthly basis. The independence of the foundation and the reliability of its funding allow for efficient management of resources that have made a big difference: So Paulo replies to 45 percent of Brazilian scientific papers that are published in international journals while having 22 percent of the country’s population and 30 percent of the nation’s scientists holding doctorates.

Thus, research institutions in the state of So Paulo will be able to engage academics from countries impacted by the crisis in Ukraine and other war-torn regions thanks to the assistance of this request for ideas. Researchers should be able to stay at the research institution and complete their work by applying to this chance if they are interested in conducting research in the Brazilian state of So Paulo.

In order to create research projects that are either already underway or are about to begin at the Host Institution, this Call is intended to promote researcher collaboration.
