Japan Study Supports Scholarships for Undergraduate and Graduate Studies 2020-2021

Brief Description:

JPSS offers scholarships for non-Japanese students who want to study in Japan. Applicants can apply and enroll to any Japanese university and get one the following scholarship after the enrollment.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

There are three categories of scholarships available:

Ø  1 scholarship of 1million yen

Ø  2 scholarships of 500,000 yen

Ø  3 scholarships of 100,000

Eligibility:

Applicants who fulfill the following requirements can apply to JPSS scholarship:

·        Be a citizen of a country other than Japan

·        Be able to have an interview in either Japanese or English

·        Have a Japanese bank account in their name.

·        Applicants who are under 20, their guardian should understand Japanese or English

·        Required Documents:
Application form

·        Short essay in English or Japanese about the Motivation and future goals (English max. 350 words, Japanese maximum 800 characters)

·        A short video of self-introduction (Up to 30 seconds)

Application instructions:

The application can be submitted online only. After submitting the application, the application and documents are screened, shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview. Notification will be sent to successful applicants.
