Skills Description:
· Experience in handling servers and related access management control.
· Ability to work independently to troubleshoot.
· Ability to perform root cause analysis, identify and isolate technical issues.
· Good knowledge of IP addresses, routing, and switching.
· Must have extensive experience with Cisco switches and routers.
· Must have proper knowledge of network cabling and management of the cable trays according to the data center standards.
· Good experience of windows domain environment, file, DNS and web servers.
· Duties & Responsibilities:
· Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications; including both Windows and Linux platforms.
· Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
· Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
· Administrate local area network and define network privileges and network management.
· Implement network security including firewalls, manages host security, file permissions, backup and deal with connectivity problems.
· Talk with staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
· Troubleshoot systems and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware or software faults,
· Replace parts as required.
· Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
· Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
· Support the roll-out of new applications.
· Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
· Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs.
· Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
· Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time.
· Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers.
· Test and evaluate new technologies.
· Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
· Respond to system or equipment malfunctions of installed facilities and troubleshoot, isolate and resolve these problems within the required guidelines.
