Golden Hat 2019 invites creative talents from all over the world to submit one or multiplied cartoons (max 5) that has a humorous portrayal of someone or something. For example, it can be a caricature of a person or a picture of a funny situation. One entry can be one single image or in shape of a short comic strip.
Regulations:
ü Max 5 submissions per applicant
ü Either black and white or color
ü Must not have any text
ü It can also be created digitally
ü Must not be folded (packaged flat)
ü Submissions will not be accepted if framed, working under glass or in other materials
ü Must not have be shown any other award show.
Benefits:
Ø Flight and accommodation will be covered
Ø € 5,000 – Golden Hat
Ø € 2,000 – Silver Hat
Ø € 1,000 – Bronze Hat
Ø € 5,00 – Audience Award
Ø Your work will be published in a cartoon book in collaboration with “Davidsfonds” Leuven
Note: The prizes are subject to Belgian Tax Laws.

· Digital Entries:
2480 x 3500 pixels (A4 300dpi).
· Formats to use: pdf, jpeg, eps, tif or psd
· Non-digital entries
Should be sent by post
Dimensions min. 21 x 30 cm or max. 30 x 42 cm
Entrants last name, name and address should be written on the back of each
· You entry is valid only if you have received the complete application form from the program.
· The non-digital entries are submitted at the expense of the applicant.
· The submissions will be trimmed with a passe-partout (for the exhibition)
