About the course:
Addressing the concept of gender; the role of gender in men and women’s resistance to natural hazards; how men and women’s manage, respond to and experience disasters in different ways considering roles and gender inequalities; how these differences should be addressed in Disaster Risk Management (DRM) projects to ensure equal benefitting of men and women; approaches to better designing of projects, gender equality, and women’s empowerment through an e-learning course to help you find out how your disaster risk management projects can benefit men and women equitably are the goals of this course. In addition, a case study on practically explaining women empowerment will also be covered in the course.
