Job Summary:

 

A sales officer in a bank is responsible for going door-to-door and selling AUB products and services. Sets up and demonstrates product, negotiates sale, and completes paperwork. May check up on clients repeatedly.

Skills Description:

·         University degree in Marketing or Banking/Finance.

·         At least 3 years of professional work experience in Marketing.

·         Exceptional networking and relationship building skills; demonstrated expertise and success in business development and sales process.

·         High levels of energy and enthusiasm

·         Excellent presentation skills.

 

·         Effective communication and influencing skills. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

1.   Facilitate cold and warm calls to prospective leads; schedule and follow through on calls with leads and current customers

2.   Travel to different neighborhoods and suburbs going door-to-door with the goal of selling products and services such as current, saving, time deposit accounts and etc.

3.   Source and work customer referrals

4.   Show a presentation on product features and convince client to purchase product using a script or persuasive technique.

5.   Hand out pamphlets/brochures

6.   Travel by foot

7.   Fill account opening forms

8.   Circle back and check on customers who are in the position to buy the product.

9.   Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.

10. Work an assigned territory, often up to 30-50 shops or locations per day.

11. Tell customers why product is better than competitors.

12. Maintain communication up to three months with customers that open account

13. Answer all lead and customer questions accurately; prioritize and/or escalate lead and customer questions as needed

14. Develop strategies for more effective sales, both individually and as part of a team

15. Track all appointments, sales, complaints, status reports, etc. thoroughly for manager review

16. Self-improve continuously by way of experience and manager feedback

Other related duties as assigned by the management.

Qualifications:

 

·         Highly customer oriented with ability to be responsive.

·         Ability to work well with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships.

·         Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

·         Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Afghan local languages and computer literacy.

·         Professional, honest and disciplined.

·         Knowledge & experience of Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

·         Experience of managing Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
