ICIMOD Mounting Prize 2020

Brief Description:

The ICIMOD Mounting prize is allocated for individuals, organizations, or companies with made innovation for developing the mountain cause in the Hindu Kush-Himalayan (HKH) or beyond based on their qualifications and for making a positive, tangible change on the ground. Moreover, storytellers, photographers, filmmakers, and artists also can take part in the prize. Finally, anyone who meets the eligibility criteria can apply before the 15 August of the following year.

Prize amount: 2500 USD Dollars

Eligibility:

·        Anyone, public or private sectors with significant experience in sustainable and resilient mountain development in the Hindu Kush-Himalayan (HKH) region.

·        Candidate must complete an outstanding performance related to sustainable mountain development.

·        Storytellers, photographers, filmmakers, and artists are also eligible to take part.

·        Self-nomination is not allowed.

Selection criteria:

The ICIMOD Mountain will select the candidates based on the followings:

·        Demonstrable impact

·        Innovation

·        Importance degree will give to gender equity and social inclusion.

·        Mountain context scalability or sustainability.

Required documents:

·        Online application form

·        Personal data, including the full name of the nominee and contact address.

·        Work field specification and its impact.

·        Nominee’s significant work.

·        The description of how the nominee’s work has contributed to sustainable and resilient mountain development or and brought about bringing a significant change on the ground.

·        A brief explanation of how the nominee deserves to win the prize.

·        Other supporting documents such as links to online articles, videos, publications as evidence to show the impact of nominee’s work.

·        Two references contact details and information, who know the nominee very well.

·        Vouching statement for approving the provided information through the nomination form.

Application instructions:

Individuals can nominate an organization or private company inclusive of his/her own company or organization. So anybody familiar with the company or individual work can nominate on the online application form.
