2020 Wells Mountain Initiative (WMI) scholarship program

The Wells Mountain Initiative (WMI), which is located in the USA, aims to create social change through education and community building by providing scholarship and training and some other educational programs.

Each year the WMI supports students to conduct their education purpose by providing 50 to 60 scholarships to students from developing countries who wish to pursue their post-secondary school (university, trade school, polytechnic) studies. The scholarship will be offered for the entire period of study

Scholarship amounts:

·         3000 Dollar per year The

scholarship will support:

·         Tuition fee

·         Materials and books and other relevant costs.

Additional benefits:

·         The name of the scholarship recipients will be published on the WMI website, and facebook page

Eligibilities:

·         Applicant’s age must be under 35 years on 1 March 2020.

·         Applicants must have a good record and grads from their secondary education.

·         Applicants are studying at a university or working to perform their first undergraduate degree.

·         Applicants will be studying in one of the developing countries in the world. (their home country of outside).

·         Must be committed to returning to their home country after completion of their degree. Must have volunteer experiences.

·         Those applicants have some funds but still, need to be supported financially to continue his/her higher education.

Applicants responsibilities:

·         Must be able to achieve a good grade during university studies.

·         Must be the representative of community engagements and services.

·         Every year must have accomplished, recorded and documented his or her 100 community activities and services.

·         The academic semester performance report and community service report must send to the WMI scholars.

·         The official transcript of each semester must be sent twice a year.

·         As a student must be in touch with the Students Scholar coordinator.

Required documents:

·         Photo

·         Essay (the title of the essay is on the application form).

·         Application form.

·         Activities certificate/diploma, including the dates, type of activities, time, photography, etc.

·         Secondary school certificate and transcripts, and grad Kankor result.

·         Two recommendation letters from two individuals who know you professionally and personally, and must mention the reasons why you must be selected for this scholarship.

Note:

·         The requested documents must be in English.

·         The requested files must be in JPG, PNG, GIF, DOC, DOCX, PDF format in 10 versions or newer.

How to apply:

·         Eligible applicants can apply in two ways:

·         Firstly, they can apply through the online application form:

·         Applicants must create their accounts, enter the personal information, upload the documents.

·         Secondly, they can send their documents by mail.

·         Print the application form, attach all requested documents, and send them three weeks before the deadline.

Note:

·         the late and incomplete application will not be reviewed.

·         Do not send your documents by email.
