most globally diversified, two-week academic summer programs in the world. This
program serves 2,400 students from more than 130 countries and all across U.S.

Eligibility:
·
To order to apply for
YYSG, applicants must meet all the following requirements:
·
Have at least 16 years of
age by July 19, 2021.
·
Have the ability to
participate in a rigorous academic curriculum conducted in English.
·
Be a current high school
sophomore or junior (or at an internationally comparable level).
·
Will be graduating in
May/June 2022 or 2023 from the Northern Hemisphere, or in Nov. /Dec. 2021
or 2022 from the Southern Hemisphere.
·
Be a first-time
participant in the 2021 YYGS Summer Program.
·
It is worth noting that if
you previously applied to YYGS but were not granted admission or were unable to
attend and you meet the eligibility criteria listed above, then you are
encouraged to re-apply for YYGS 2021.
·
And, YYGS invites
applications from ALL countries and provides the opportunity for students to
apply for need-based financial support to students from ALL countries, too.
Evaluation criteria
YYGS reviews all applications on
a holistic base. Since students come from different backgrounds and with
different educational and extracurricular activities, the essays and letters of
recommendation are the most important portion of the application.
Required documents
All students must submit the
following documents for application:

List of activities
·
One 500-word essay and one
200-word response
·
Two “fast take” responses
(280 characters each)
·
Official school transcript
·
Two Recommenders (who
shall complete YYGS Recommendation Forms ONLY. No written recommendation is
accepted)
·
Application fee ($60
for Early Action, $75 for Regular Decision)
·
English fluency test
scores (TOEFL or DuoLingo) is optional.
·
Filling need-based
financial aid form is also optional, but those in need must complete that.
·
The application fee must
be paid online directly after submission of the application, and the
application fee is non-refundable.
