The University of Waikato offers international excellence scholarships to brilliant international students for the A.Y. 2021 to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in New Zealand. Due to covid-19, these scholarships are offered to students currently in New Zealand who will be newly commencing their studies in the country in person and students who will study online under this scholarship will receive other benefits. ·        10,000 NZD toward tuition fees

Note: students who wish to start their studies online in 2021 will automatically receive a 20% discount on tuition fees and a travel grant once they travel to NZ after borders reopening.

 

Eligibility:

·        High-performing international students wishing to enroll for the first time in an undergraduate or postgraduate course can apply.

·        Candidates will receive the scholarship fund based on their academic achievements and merit.

·        Candidates should meet the university’s academic entry and English language requirements to be eligible for admission into a program. Read more here.

·        International students studying at the undergraduate or postgraduate level should provide proof of proficiency in English by having TOEFL/IELTS or Duolingo.
