Brief Description:

The College of International Studies at Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam, offers a total of 300 undergraduate scholarships to international students. These scholarships are awarded to all international students except Laotian, Cambodian, Burmese, Filipino, and Thai.

Fall semester: 31 July 2020, extended: 15 September 2020 (Result: 25 September 2020, Enroll date: 15 October 2020)

Spring semester: 30 November 2020 December 2020, Enroll date: 15 January)

Total number of scholarships: 300

Rate: 100% (Vietnamese-medium) and 80-100% (Programs taught in English)

Commencement of semesters for both kinds of programs: Fall semester (September 2020) and spring semester (January 2021)

Duration: 5 years (for programs in Vietnamese: 1-year preparatory course+ four years of undergrad program) and 4 years for programs taught in the English language.

Eligibility & Criteria:

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

·         All foreign nationals except the above-mentioned ones are eligible for these scholarships.

·         Be high school graduate students or equivalent in other countries outside Vietnam.

·         Last grade high school average academic performance or its equivalent must be Good or above.

·         Based on the applicant’s high school academic performance, the scholarship appraising council selects the best ones from the candidates’ list to offer the scholarships.

·         Those applying for the major ‘Pharmacy,’ need to meet two more requirements:

·         The average academic score of the last high school grade or equivalence must be Good or higher.

·         The average Chemistry score of the last grade of high school grade or equivalence must be ≥7.0 (scale 10.0).

·         *English-taught programs

·         The average academic performance of the last high school grade or equivalent must be Good or 6.5 (scale 10.0) or above.

·         IELTS 5.0 or equivalent English language proficiency certificate.

·         Or else, applicants must pass TDTU’s English language proficiency assessment exam. Applicants from countries where English is their native language are exceptions.

Results announcement date: 

·         – Fall semester: 10 August 2020

·         – Spring semester: 10 December 2020

The result is sent to the applicant’s email. So, applicants should check their email regularly in order to update their application if it is not proper.

Note: international students wishing to study at TDTU need to have a passport so that they can go to Vietnam before you the result announcement. The passport should be prepared by the result announcement date.

How to Apply?

Applicants can choose one of the two following options to apply for TDTU scholarships.

OPTION 1: Email submission (highly recommended)

Follow the steps below:

1: Download and print the application form.

2: Fill in the form (handwriting is acceptable). You must provide precise information, especially the name of the program and the selected field of study.

3: Scan/Take photo of all required documents for the application that include:

Application form (in the English language)

*Note: International applicants can fill in the form in the English language.

High school diploma/Temporary graduation certificate of high school (official high school diploma can be additionally submitted when it is available)

High school academic transcript/study record
4. Passport

5. English/Vietnamese language proficiency certificate or other supporting documents

4: Check the accuracy of the above steps.

5: Send your scanned application documents to admission.cis@tdtu.edu.vn

OPTION 2: Completing online form and uploading scanned documents.

You should complete the following steps:

1: Go to the online application form (English)

2: Complete the online form while considering the guide in “step 2” above.

3: Upload the scanned documents required in the online form before submitting it.

Step 4: Check the accuracy of the preceding steps.
