The Deutschlandstipendium,
Germany’s largest public-private partnership scholarship programme, is open to
high-achieving students from all over the world who seek to attend Bachelors
and Masters degree programmes at public and state-recognized universities in
Germany. Through parallel mentorship programmes, networking events, and
internships, several institutions and private sponsors help
Deutschlandstipendium holders.
Funding is typically provided for
at least two semesters, but may be supplied for up to the length of time required
to complete the conventional course of study. The university assesses whether
the scholarship holder still fits the award conditions and whether private
money will be provided every two semesters. Each scholar will be paid €300 per
month (€150 from private sponsors and €150 from the government). Regardless of
personal or parental income, the Deutschlandstipendium is awarded.
Eligibility:
Civic participation and
extraordinary personal achievements, such as a student overcoming problems or
obstacles in his or her social or family background, are among the conditions
for winning a scholarship, in addition to strong academic success. As a result,
the candidate’s social and family background are considered. Students who are
currently enrolled as well as those who are about to start school are both
eligible for the award.
How to Apply?
Students of all nationalities can
apply directly to their university for the first and second semesters. The
universities organise the selection process, select the successful candidates,
and approach possible sponsors with Federal Government funding. The application
deadline varies and is determined by the university.
