Brief Description:
Applications are now open for the
Rachel Carson Center Fellowship in Germany for its 2022 program. These
fellowships are open to excellent doctoral, post-doctoral, and senior scholars
who are working in the field of environment and society. Moreover, they accept
applications for scholarly outreach interventions including journalism,
documentary film, and community engagement. Applicants are invited to apply
individually or as interdisciplinary teams.

Benefits:
the funding allocated for the
fellows are as follows:
·
500 Euros are payable for
doctoral fellows;
·
An amount of 750 Euros are
payable for doctoral fellows;
·
1000 Euros are payable for
doctoral fellows;
·
Accommodation for the
fellows;
·
Funds for children and
other accompanying relatives are not available;
In addition to that, fellows will
receive a monthly food voucher for the on-site farm shop worth 125 Euros.
Please note that travel costs
from the applicant’s home country are not to Germany are not covered by the
program.
Eligibility:
·
Outstanding academic
record in societal and environmental fields;
·
The candidate must either
have enrolled in a Ph.D. program or completed a Ph.D. program by the
application deadline;
·
Demonstrate their
willingness for a three to twelve months’ program;
·
The fellows must commit
and be willing to live in residential accommodation a with scholars with
diverse backgrounds;
Required documents
·
You need to attach a cover
letter (no more than 750 words);
·
The applicant’s CV (not
more than 3 pages)
·
Describe your project in
1000 words in maximum;
·
A research plan with a
maximum of 300 words which includes: start date and duration. The start dates
could be January 01, 2022, April 01, July 01, or October 01, 2022.
·
Three references who know
you well;
·
If you plan to apply
jointly, then take in mind that each applicant needs to make an account in the

research plan;
