Brief Description:
Applications
for the UNLEASH Global Innovation Lab 2022 are now available! This is a
fantastic opportunity for young people to meet like-minded people from all over
the world and pitch solutions to societal problems.
The UNLEASH
Lab will bring together 1000 young people (18-35 years old) in December 2022 in
Mysore, Karnataka, India for an eight-day innovation workshop. It would enable
people to collaborate in groups to discover solutions to specific UNSDGs while
receiving professional advise. Following the lab, the winning solutions will be
assisted in raising funds and putting their ideas into action, and all
participants will be invited to join the global UNLEAS community, where
they will have access to a variety of tools to help them scale their solutions.
UNLEASH
will also cover all costs associated
with flight travel, lodging, meals, curriculum, facilitation, and programme
activities for the duration of the event.
The
talents will collaborate in groups with experienced facilitators and experts
from around the world to discover concrete user requirements, unearth insights,
and produce fresh, inventive, and imaginative solutions that will have a
beneficial influence on their communities.

Benefits of Scholarship:

The 1,000 selected talents will be welcomed to Mysore, India, on
December 3rd with a large celebration that will include speeches from thought
leaders and experts in sustainability and innovation. The Opening Ceremony will
introduce the talents to one another and the week’s program.

The teams will be busy for the next few days with problem framing,
ideating, and developing innovative solutions using UNLEASH’s methodology based
on human-centered design thinking.
·
The Lab will conclude with a big Closing Ceremony on December
11th.
·
The talents will have the opportunity to pitch their solutions,
and some will be awarded prizes at a formal Award Show.
·
Inspiring leaders from around the world will share insights and
empower the next generation of leaders.
·
After the Lab, talents will have the opportunity to continue
developing their solutions and personal development with the help of UNLEASH,
local mentors, implementation experts, and others.
·
UNLEASH will cover the costs of:

The talents will also be invited to join UNLEASH’s vibrant
community of thousands of passionate individuals who have joined them on their
path to the 2030 Agenda.
This programme
will discuss the SDG Challenge Tracks
As a
Global Innovation Lab India participant, you will have the opportunity to work
on some of the most pressing global sustainability challenges. The challenges
are organized into seven thematic tracks that address specific SDGs as follows:

Non-communicable Diseases (SDG3).

Mental Health (SDG 3).
·
Education & ICT (SDG 4).
·
Clean Water & Sanitation (SDG 6)
·
Affordable & Clean Energy (SDG 7)
·
Climate Action (SDG 13)

Source to Sink (SDG 14 & 15)
Eligibility:
·
The applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 35.
·
The applicants should possess a valid passport.
·
WHO double vaccination is required for applicants.
·
Candidates must be passionate about and dedicated to global
development challenges/SDGs.
·
The applicants must be innovative and have critical and analytical
thinking skills.
·
The applicants should have adequate English proficiency.
·
Participants must be present throughout the UNLEASH Innovation
Lab, and all talents must stay at the provided accommodation for the duration
of the program.

You
will be given a few questions that should not be surpassed beyond 200 words
each to be answered regarding Sustainable Development Goals. And these
questions are as follows:

What regional or global challenges are you passionate about?
2.
Why are you passionate about this challenge? Was it a personal
experience, a challenge faced by someone you know, or a problem faced by your
community?
3.
In the past, how have you approached a challenge in your
community, and what did you do about it?
4.
What experience do you have working with people with different
working styles? How did you manage the differences?
