Development and the Paris Agreement.
This course is about
In the midst of global disruption
and uncertainty, global dialogue and action are more crucial than ever. In this
context, the virtual UN Summer Academy will focus on key barriers to realising
the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development beyond COVID-19, particularly in
the areas of health and well-being, economic change, and climate action.
The virtual United Nations Summer
Academy in 2022 builds on the success of two earlier virtual editions in 2020
and 2021, as well as eight face-to-face editions. The Academy, like previous
iterations, combines academic rigour with cutting-edge thinking, providing
participants with unparalleled opportunities for learning and networking. It
promotes and facilitates dialogue among thought and action leaders working to
implement the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement. In an online-based system,
participants will debate transformative approaches essential for the 2030
Agenda’s implementation, as well as genuine examples and experiences from
various country settings and stakeholder perspectives.
