New York University is a public
university in New York City. The Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New
York University is soliciting applications for the World Journalist Fellowship
in 2022. This fellowship covers two semesters of study at the Arthur L. Carter
Journalism Institute’s master’s programmes for journalists at New York
University. International journalists enrolling in one of NYU’s Arthur L.
Carter Journalism Institute’s graduate journalism programmes are eligible for
this fellowship.

Benefits:
·
The 2020 Fellowship covers
tuition and registration costs for two of the program’s three or four
semesters.
·
In addition, the fellow
will be paid a stipend of $14,000 for each of the fellowship’s two semesters.
Eligibility:
·
Must hold a passport from
a country other than the United States
·
Be fluent in English and
at least one other language at the moment
·
Be a freelance journalist
or a journalist for a non-profit news organization (corporate or institutional
communications does not qualify).
·
By the first day of the
program, you must have a minimum of four years of experience working in a print
or electronic journalistic publication.
·
At least four years of
full-time work in the form of freelance journalism assignments will be
considered.
·
Work for student
publications and internships do not count toward the four-year requirement.
·
Experience in public
relations and business communications is not acceptable.
·
A four-year bachelor’s
degree or a three-year bachelor’s degree + one year of graduate work
