Fully Funded Scholarship for Students at Risk|| Hilde Domin Programme

Brief Description:

The Hilde Domin Scholarship Program, financed by the Federal Foreign Office, is managed by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) (AA). The program’s goal is to help students and doctoral candidates from all over the world who are facing educational or other rights violations in their home countries, and to provide these students and doctoral candidates with the opportunity to begin or finish a study or research degree at a German higher education institution.

Eligibility:

·        18 years old or older

·        Situation of personal risk/threat in one’s home nation

·        Academic accomplishments, such as educational certifications that allow admission to a university or previous degrees that can be applied to future studies

·        Potential in the education

·        Language skills in German and English

 

Required documents

•        Online application form

•        Document of valid identification (passport or similar)

•        A tabular version of your curriculum vitae

•        Motivational letter (1 to 3 pages)

•        Status of Risk (A threat or risk to your personal well-being, particularly your right to education, and the safety of your life in general, is indicated by the state of risk)

•        Proof of academic progress/graduation

•        Certificates of languages proficiency (English or German) (level B2 or higher) not more than 2 years old

•        Proof of acceptance to German universities

•        Documents pertaining to one’s current academic standing (bachelor, master or doctoral student)

Note: All documents must be submitted in German or English language

 

How to Apply?

•        You can’t apply yourself for Hilde Domin Program scholarship.

•        You must be nominated as a candidate by an institution or organization with a legal presence in Germany.

•        After the nomination deadline, formally eligible applicants can access the DAAD online application portal.
