online bachelor’s degree scholarships to Afghan women.
The University of People is
working to ensure that Afghan women’s educational futures are not jeopardized
by the Taliban’s takeover of their country.
The slogan of the University of
People is that education is a fundamental right for all people. UoPeople is a
non-profit, tuition-free, American-accredited online university that offers a
variety of high-demand bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. The UoPeople
currently has over 75,000 students from over 200 countries and territories.
The University does not charge
tuition or enrollment fees because it is a non-profit organization, and all of
its course materials are available for free online. Although the university
charges a small one-time application fee ($120 for undergraduate courses and
$240 for graduate courses), the Afghan women who are awarded scholarships will
not have to pay it.
