Brief Description:
The United Nations Food
Systems Summit (UNFSS2021) pre-summit registration is now open. The
pre-summit and main summit are open to applicants from all over the world.
The UNFSS2021
Pre-Summit will bring together a diverse range of actors from around the
world, including youth, indigenous peoples, farmers, civil society,
researchers, the private sector, policymakers, and ministers of agriculture,
environment, health, nutrition, and finance, to harness the power of food
systems to achieve progress on all 17 SDGs.
The Italian government is hosting
it. The event’s main goal is to deliver the most up-to-date evidence-based and
scientific approaches to food system transformation from around the world,
launch a set of new commitments through action coalitions, and mobilize new
funding and partnerships. All of this will be accomplished by encouraging
diverse participation from all parties in order to uncover the widest range of
solutions and have the greatest impact possible.
